The harp plays a major role in the life of Anna. The CD tells a story. The story. About how life begins and how it ends. And
what happens in between in your heart. About the time that flows and the time
that solidifies. And about that place in your heart where time loses its meaning. The story is told by AnnA herself and sung by Maja Robessom and Merel Moelker. Click this youtube link to see and hear more. |

Seylan is a Scottish cellist, Cheyenne is from Alaska and plays the harp with a beautiful flowing, but rhythmic style, which sits beautifully against the rich tones of Seylan's cello. fresh and renewing arrangements of traditional tunes and songs, that research the creative possibilities of these majestic instruments. Harp and cello exchange melody and accompaniment, whether in driving reels or haunting slow airs. Songs are lyrical and expressive, with thoughtful accompaniment on harp and cello. Instrumental CD of the Dutch band Faeryday. Composition: Jerina Welgraven (clarinet and various wind instruments), Anouk Platenkamp (harp) and Patrick Lieffers (didgeridoo and percussion) Their debut CD "Changeling" sounds like a joyful musical journey through the past. The distinctive traditional songs are played with much skill and the good production gives room to the various instruments to excel. And excel they regularly do because Faerydae is musically solid. Regular danceable, but also often slowing down. With this album Faerydae makes clear they have an own sound without alienating the traditional folk sounds and songs. Some musical fragments:

A musical blend of Celtic folk, classical and jazz improvisation. Images - Images of rolling pastures of Ireland, the rocky coasts of Brittany, the Loire or wild swirls. Images depicted by the Celtic harp, with its rough charm, simple beauty, lush joy and mystical power. The marimba, with its exotic wooden sound, and the melancholic warm sounds of the viola.
Bernadette Kerscher (Celtic harp) Born in France near the town of Angers, studied concert harp in Germany, and now owns one of the largest harp stores in Germany. The music is all instrumental, with no singing or speaking, allowing the instruments to weave a fine and intricate aural tapestry to illustrate the legend.
