The Kerscher Saphir is almost identical to the Beryll. Their difference is in the shape of the soundbox. The Saphir has a rectangular soundbox while the soundbox of the Beryll is rounded.
The Saphir differs from the model Karneol in the round shape at the top. Furthermore, the harps are identical. The harps are built from solid wood, a choice of maple, mahogany, cherry, walnut and bubinga. The use of fine hardwoods give the Saphir a very full sound. The body is round at the back for maximum playing comfort.
The Saphir has 35 strings, from the first octave G to sixth octave A. You can choose to have carbon or gut stringing. The Saphir has a standard string distance and pretty heavy string tension, making the transition to a pedal harp easier. The "rolling" levers developed by Kerscher are silent and easy to operate.
The extraordinary thing is that beautiful ornaments on the Kerscher harps are available for a relatively low price. In our shop we have several decorated harps to choose from, but a harp with decoration of your own choice can be built for you. The delivery time then would be about 3 months.
