Harps of Lorien Raphael 26
The therapy line of harps are designed to be lightweight and economical. They offer excellent tone for use in therapy work and also serve as entry level harps for beginners or for those seeking a less expensive harp. The Raphael 26 Therapy Harp (formerly Elisha 26) is designed specifically for the work of bringing healing harp music to those in hospitals and nursing homes, and for vigils at the bedside of the dying. It has a warm, resonant tone but is not overpowering when used in a close setting with a patient. It is lightweight (7-8 lbs / 3,5-4 kg) and can easily be transported, an important consideration for the harpist. The neck reinforcement is added for both strength and to give the harp a sculptural feel, adding to its soft curves and rounded edges. The lowest note is C below Middle C and the lowest two strings are wound nylon. The harp is sold with a case and Truitt levers on Cs and Fs. Because it is large for a lap harp we offer an adjustable hardwood bar that secures in one of the back openings and rests across the thighs.
