The "rolling" levers developed by Kerscher |
The Kerscher Karneol is almost identical to the Azurit. Their difference is in the shape of the soundbox. The Karneol has a rectangular soundbox while the soundbox of the Azurit is rounded.
The Karneol differs from the model Saphir in the sharply pointed shape at the top. Furthermore, the harps are identical. The harps are built from solid wood, a choice of maple, mahogany, cherry, walnut and bubinga. The use of fine hardwoods give the Karneol a very full sound. The body is round at the back for maximum playing comfort.
The Karneol has 35 strings, from the first octave G to sixth octave A. You can choose to have carbon or gut stringing. The Karneol has a standard string distance and pretty heavy string tension, making the transition to a pedal harp easier. The "rolling" levers developed by Kerscher are silent and easy to operate.
The extraordinary thing is that beautiful ornaments on the Kerscher harps are available for a relatively low price. In our shop we have several decorated harps to choose from, but a harp with decoration of your own choice can be built for you. The delivery time then would be about 3 months.
